About Us

Vision & Mission

The vision of the FPSCC is to develop opportunities to educate parents, educators, community members in the various options of school choice.

The mission of the FPSCC is to provide information and support to maintain and expand public school choice options in Florida.

Who We Are

The FPSCC is a professional organization made up of School Choice advocates throughout the state, advocating equal access to high quality school choice for all students and parents.  Professional groups involved in this organization include, but not limited to, Open Controlled School Choice, Magnet, Charter, Virtual, NCLB Choice, Career Academies or other public school choice options.

What We Do

We provide opportunities for involvement and support from parents, educators, legislators and community members to be active participants for implementing and promoting school choice options. We provide access to the latest research, grants, state board rules, statutory requirements and “promising practices”. It is vital that we share our insight and perspectives on the “promising practices” for school choice with each other. Our connections with our community based organizations and our networking efforts must remain vigorous as we collaborate with universities and federal and state support networks to build our knowledge base as we advocate for parental involvement and schools of choice.

Why We Do It

We all have a vested interest in our children’s future and for this country and its place in the global economy.  We want to ensure quality, equity and diversity in our school choice offerings. We want every parent and child to be informed and empowered to make the best possible school choice so as to increase student’s level of achievement.
