You are invited to participate in the Florida Public School Choice Consortium's Third Annual “Career Academies on the Hill” legislative conference in Tallahassee to promote our mutual understanding about Career Academies and their impact on academic and career technical education programming. The conference will be held April 7-9, 2009 at the Doubletree Hotel which is within walking distance of the House and Senate buildings.
- Interact with state and national organizations promoting career academies and share strategies and successes with other practitioners
- Get the attention of the Florida legislators to showcase some of the finest Florida career academies and the students who are in them!
- Learn how many Florida academies strive to implement the National Standards of Practice (NSOP) and align with the state of Florida definitions and models
- Visit your local legislators to build support and express concerns
- Join in the conversation about establishing and enhancing criteria for career academies in Florida
