There is an exciting new program that has come to Robinswood Middle School!  As our students return for the 2008-2009 school year, Robinswood Middle School will be offering Advanced Placement (AP) Human Geography to selected 8th grade MYP students.  We are proud to be able to include this class into our 8th grade curriculum allowing our MYP students to secure a high school credit as well as a college credit prior to entering the 9th grade.  Students attend a two-hour block of classes daily, along with weekly after-school tutorial sessions.

Mr. Harrison Peters, Principal, has pioneered this new concept within the middle school model, and our faculty, staff, students, and parents are all in one accord. Our students already have high school credit opportunities in Algebra I, Geometry, and Earth Space Science.  We are ready to change the face of the Florida middle school curriculum.

Robinswood will make history for Orange County and School Choice by being the first school in the country to make an AP course available to middle school students.  Three of our MYP teachers have received additional AP training and have taken up the challenge to make this a success!  Students will benefit from a two-class block, Saturday tutoring, and group study sessions.  Our students are on the move!

We are so proud of our fine AVID students as they prepare for their college future.
